Dr. James R. Ficke Directs the New Baltimore Field Hospital Being Constructed to Care for Recovering COVID-19 Patients

James R. Ficke, MD, director of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital, is an SOA member, a former SOA Board member, and also director of the Joint Hopkins Maryland Federal Medical Station, where doctors will offer acute care for people who have been infected with COVID-19 but are stable enough to leave permanent hospitals. The field hospital is being constructed in the Baltimore Convention Center.
