Hamid, MD, MPH is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports ankle injuries and lower extremity trauma at Rush University Medical Center/Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush. Dr. Hamid matriculated at Texas A&M University for college and medical school and he holds a MPH degree with a concentration in Biostatistics and Epidemiology from Harvard. He trained in orthopaedic surgery at Wake Forest University and completed his fellowship in foot & ankle surgery at Duke University. Dr. Hamid has authored over 70 peer-reviewed publications including editorials on Value-Based Orthopaedic Surgery for JBJS, JBJS Reviews, The Journal of Arthroscopy and Foot & Ankle International. He is a founder of Inveniam Consulting LLC, a healthcare consulting group dedicated to decreasing operational waste and identifying avoidable supply chain financial losses in surgical groups and academic departments. In his spare time, he is a musician, photographer and owner of a hip-hop record label, Underground Funk Records. |
